• my great-grandfather Joachim Christian Hinrich Schroeder (born in Rosslat, Melkinburg Schwerin, Germany, August 16, 1843);
• my great-grandmother Augusta Schroeder, nee Pomrenke (J.H.'s second wife, born in Stagendorff, West Prussia, Poland, January 14, 1873); and
• my grandfather David F. Earle, Sr. nee Schroeder (born in Hopedale, Illinois, August 3, 1890).

J.H. and Augusta were married in Hopedale, November 7, 1889.
