Jacob Winzler Home

This house was the home of Jacob Winzler (1854-1932).

According to family stories, Jacob hired a consultant from
Marshal Field's and Company from Chicago to come to Tremont
to do the interior decorating and accessorizing of the home.

The home still exists but has undergone major remodeling over the years.

These photos show the board fence and pillared entrance to the Jacob Winzler farm.

Both the fences and pillars were eventually removed
to accommodate the passage of modern day farm equipment
